The Office of Student Conduct is responsible for establishing, promoting and sustaining high standards of conduct for Emory University undergraduates. The Office supports Emory's vision of an ethically engaged, inquiry driven and diverse University community.

Attendance at Emory University is about more than simply attending classes. We value the contributions students make as members of the Emory community. Membership in our community is predicated on respect for one's self, for others, and for the community as a whole. From that basic tenet of respect the University has developed a set of expectations for undergraduates, and those expectations are explained in the Undergraduate Code of Conduct.

The Office of Student Conduct investigates alleged violations of the Code. Students who may have violated the Code participate in a process that is educational in nature. The Office also works to address conduct issues proactively through outreach and programming partnerships. Academic honesty (such as not cheating on a test or plagiarizing on a written assignment) is the responsibility of each of Emory's undergraduate schools and is not handled by the Office of Student Conduct. Each school establishes and enforces its own set of expectations for academic honesty.

This web site is designed to give you information about the conduct process, as well as the programs and services offered by the Office of Student Conduct. If you have questions not addressed here please contact us for assistance.
